1. Collar material

There are many pet collars of different materials on the market. The more common ones are nylon, polyester, and iron collars. In terms of comfort, polyester collars and nylon collars are more suitable for dogs. Iron collars are harder and may harm the dog in emergencies. Besides, there are leather collars that are easier to see on the market. Good leather collars are generally more expensive. But after wearing it for a long time, the leather collar will become smoother and more suitable for dogs. If economic strength allows, leather collars can also be a good choice. But choosing polyester and nylon collars is also a good choice, the price is low, you can change your favorite pattern style at any time. 



2. Collar style

Commonly used styles of collars include strap collars and restraint chains(Common such as P chain). The striped collar is more convenient to remove and wear, basically does not affect the dog's activities, and it is also convenient to hang the dog tag. An inhibition chain is generally a type of collar used to train dogs to build more complex logic. It regulates the dog's behavior by inhibiting the different intensities of stimulation given to the dog by the collar. So here, the editor recommends that you choose a more common strap collar. If you are not a professional dog training person, it is generally not recommended to use the inhibition chain. 


3. Collar size

The size of the collar mainly depends on the size of the dog. We can choose by the circumference of the dog's neck. Under normal conditions, we choose the length standard of the collar is that we can easily insert one finger after wearing it on the dog’s neck.

2. No need to wear a collar at home

The collar is just for walking the dog or wearing it when going out. Then we can take off the dog collar when we are at home. This can not only reduce the problem of hair loss and skin diseases caused by the friction between the dog collar and the dog’s hair. It can also reduce the dog's sense of restraint. More importantly, it can prevent the dog from being caught by other things and causing the danger of suffocation. Every year around the world, it would happen dog's collar is hung somewhere in the house, causing the dog to suffocate.
